Rookie goes for 6 in a row @ IMUK Week 11/25
Lost the plot these last 3 weeks I did…..
Basically took a weekend off and ended up on the piss for 3 weeks., not giving a flying fuck about training the entire time……
Idiot……
Finally managed to get back on track this week though…..
Here is what happened when I made my way back onto the Ironman bike circuit Saturday following a 3 week ‘break’…..
Looked like the best cycling day of the year so far but once again when you make your way up onto the tops of the Ironman bike course, a gale force wind is raging as standard…..
Nothing pisses me off more than trying to cycle head first into a gale force wind on this brutally open bike circuit…..
Sulked all the way round in 2:35 I did……
Not good enough…..
Well I say that, 3 laps of 2:30 is the absolute shittest you can be and still scrpae the cut offs by the skin of your teeth……
But a 2:35 first lap on fresh legs does not bode well…..
Plenty of work to do and it starts with a complete ban on alcohol until at least July 4th…..
Here is how training went this week……
Mon : Pool mile
Tues : Weights & sauna
Weds : 6k jog
Thurs : Pool Mile
Fri : Weights & sauna
Sat : lap of the IMUK bike circuit as above
Sun : 10k jog
